At the Veterans Museum, we believe that every veteran’s voice deserves to be heard. That’s why we offer a free interview service to record and archive your story. These interviews are conducted using best practices outlined by the Library of Congress Veterans History Project, and if you choose, we’ll even submit your interview to their official archive.

Because of the financial support of our membership, we are able to provide this opportunity FREE to every veteran. For $25 per year, your membership can ensure that the Veterans Museum can deliver on its mission to collect and preserve individual stories of veterans, help enable them to share those stories as they wish, and recognize and serve our veterans in ways they have long earned but too often failed to enjoy.

Inspired by the story of Major William J. Hicklin, Jr., a World War II veteran, and his wife Mignonette, our museum was born from the discovery of a war journal and four unseen D-Day photographs—hidden memories that sparked a mission. Founded by grateful descendants and supported by the local community, the Veterans Museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing veterans’ stories, honoring their service, and educating future generations. Join us as we pay tribute to our heroes and keep their stories alive.
